If you are a registered user of our Online Member Services you can now make extras and PackageBonus/Flexi-Bonus claims online. Register for online member services
How to make an extras claim online
- You will need your treatment receipts/account and provider details
- Once registered, login to Online Member Services
- Select 'Make a New Claim' from the top line navigation
- Follow the six simple steps to submit your claim
- If after processing your online claim, Medibank Private determines that a benefit is payable, then this will be provided by a cheque payable to the Contributor on your Membership (which may or may not be you), and this will be sent to your address as registered on your Membership.
How to make a PackageBonus or Flexi-Bonus online
- You will need your treatment receipts/account and provider details
- Once registered, login to Online Member Services
- Select 'Make a New Claim' from the top line navigation
- If you have PackageBonus or Flexi-Bonus as part of your cover, you will be given the options onscreen to request that the bonus component is applied to your claim
- Follow the six simple steps to submit your claim
Please Note: PackageBonus and Flexi-Bonus requests can only be applied to extras services/items that can be claimed online i.e.
- Acupuncture
- Clinical psychology
- Chiropractic/osteopathy
- Dietetics
- General Dental (including Endodentic)
- Major Dental
- Naturopathy
- Occupational Therapy
- Optical appliances
- Orthoptics
- Physiotherapy
- Podiatry
- Remedial massage
- Speech pathology (therapy)
At present you cannot claim online to use your PackageBonus or Flexi-Bonus for the following:
- Pharmaceutical prescriptions (non-PBS)
- Ambulance transport (medically necessary)
- School accident
- Orthodontic
- Health appliances and prostheses
- Claims involving compensation or damages
- Claims for Visitors Cover or OSHC extras
Hospital and Gap Cover claims
Please note that these cannot be submitted online. For further information regarding hospital accommodation or gap claims please call us on 131 680.
Other claims requiring offline submission
The following claims must be submitted offline using the standard Claim Form for Australian residents.
- Claims not paid in full
- Claims for compensation or damages
- Individual claims associated to more than one individual
